1. Scope
This policy applies to the InSave: Video & Story Saver mobile application. By using InSave: Video & Story Saver, you agree to the handling of information described in this policy. Please use the app only for content that you own, are authorized to save, or otherwise have a legal right to download and reuse.
InSave: Video & Story Saver is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any social platform.
2. Information We Process
Links and media metadata
When you paste or share a supported media link, InSave: Video & Story Saver processes that link to detect available photos, videos, thumbnails, captions or titles, source identifiers, file names, file sizes, formats, and download URLs.
Download history
InSave: Video & Story Saver stores completed download records on your device, such as the original link, title or caption snippet, thumbnail URL, media count, file name, format, local file path, file size, and completion time.
Web session data
If a link requires a web session, you may sign in through the Android system WebView. Cookies and session data are managed by the system WebView and may be used only to parse or download content you request.
Technical data
Network requests may include standard technical information such as IP address, user agent, request time, app-generated request signatures, and server response status for security, abuse prevention, and service operation.
3. How We Use Information
- To parse supported links and detect downloadable media.
- To show media previews and let you select the files you want to save.
- To submit downloads through the Android system download manager.
- To save files to your device and show completed downloads in your local history.
- To show download progress and completion notifications.
- To maintain app reliability, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
4. Local Storage and Device Permissions
Storage and media access
InSave: Video & Story Saver saves downloaded files to your device, including the Downloads/InSave folder where supported by the Android system. The app may request media or storage permissions so you can open and manage saved files from inside the app.
Notifications
InSave: Video & Story Saver may request notification permission to display download progress and completion status.
Network access
InSave: Video & Story Saver uses network access to resolve links, fetch previews, and download selected media.
5. Third-Party Services and External Websites
To perform its core function, InSave: Video & Story Saver may send the media link you provide to source websites or to the app's backend parser service. The parser service may process the submitted URL and return media metadata and download information to the app. These requests are necessary for link parsing and downloads.
External websites, Android system components, app stores, and any web session pages you choose to open may process data under their own privacy policies. InSave: Video & Story Saver does not control those third-party policies.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or disclose information only in these cases:
- With service providers that help operate link parsing, downloading, hosting, security, or support.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
- To protect users, the app, our rights, or the security and integrity of the service.
- With your direction, for example when you choose to share a saved file from your device.
7. Retention
Downloaded files and download history are stored on your device until you delete them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Server-side processing data may be kept for a limited period as needed for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and service operation.
