Terms of Use

01Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Chengmai Qingzhou Xinghe Network Technology Co., Ltd. (澄迈轻舟星河网络科技有限公司, “we”, “us”), the developer of the Android app “Deer Score: AI Antler Scoring” (the “App”), published under the SailingLab brand. By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

02The App

The App estimates a deer’s antler score from photos you take or choose, in the style of the Boone and Crockett scoring system. It also lets you score a buck from your own tape measurements, keep a history of your bucks, share them to a public feed, and see average scores by state on a big-buck map. Photos are analyzed on our servers with the help of third-party AI services. Some features are free with limits; others require a Pro subscription. Features may change over time.

03Estimates, not official scores

• We do not guarantee that any estimate is accurate, or that a buck will qualify for any record book, award or contest.
• The season leaderboard ranks these estimates for fun. It is not a contest and has no prizes. Which bucks it includes is decided automatically from the photo, and we may remove any entry.
• The App is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Boone and Crockett Club or any other scoring organization. Their names are used only to describe the scoring method, and remain the trademarks of their owners.
• You must not present an estimate from the App as an official or certified score, or use the Boone and Crockett Club’s name to suggest that it endorses the App or an estimate — for example, when selling a mount, a hunt or a property, or when entering a contest.
• The App does not tell you whether a deer is legal to harvest. Follow the game laws, seasons and antler restrictions where you hunt.

04Your account

You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Your username is created from the first name on your Google account and is shown, with most of its letters hidden, with anything you share publicly. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Delete account), as described in our Privacy Policy.

05Your content

You keep all rights to the photos, captions and measurements you add to the App (“your content”). You confirm that you took the photos or have permission to use them.

To run the App, you allow us to store, copy, resize and analyze your content — including by sending photos to the AI services that estimate scores — and to show it back to you.

Public posts

Your scores are private unless you share a buck to the feed. When you do, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, display and distribute that post (its photo, caption, estimate and state) in the App, for as long as it is public. Anyone can see public posts. We will not use your posts in advertising outside the App without asking you first.

Shared bucks are also counted, without photos or names, in the averages on the big-buck map. To remove a post, e-mail us; deleting your account hides all your posts.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to post, upload or share content that:

• is unlawful, or shows or promotes poaching, hunting out of season, trespassing or any other breach of wildlife laws;
• is gratuitously graphic or cruel beyond ordinary harvest photos, or is sexual, hateful, harassing, threatening or violent;
• reveals someone else’s personal information, or the precise location of a property, without their permission;
• infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights — for example, photos someone else took without their permission;
• is spam, advertising, or misleading — including presenting an estimate as an official score, or impersonating another person.

You also agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, modify or resell the App, or bypass its free-plan limits or purchase checks, except where the law expressly allows it;
• access our servers other than through the App, scrape the feed or map, or use the App in an automated or abusive way;
• interfere with the App or its services, or with other users’ use of them.

07Reporting and blocking

• Report. If a post breaks these Terms, tap the menu on the post and choose Report post. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. You can also report content or users by e-mail.
• Block. Choose Block from the same menu, and that user’s posts will no longer appear in your feed. They are not told that you blocked them.
• Our action. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, with or without notice. We do not review every post before it appears, and we are not responsible for content posted by other users.

08Pro, subscriptions and the free plan

Free plan

• The free plan includes 1 photo score per account. It does not reset. A photo score counts once its result is first produced; scoring the same photos again with the same point count does not use another one.
• Tape mode (scoring from your own measurements), your history, the feed and the map do not count against this limit.
• We may change what the free plan includes in the future. Changes will be shown in the App.

Pro subscription

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that removes the monthly limit on photo scores. The plans available, their billing period (for example monthly or yearly) and any free trial are shown in the App and in the Google Play payment sheet before you confirm. Prices are shown in your local currency, may differ by country and may include taxes. Pro is linked to the account you were signed in with in the App when you subscribed and cannot be moved to another account.

Payment and automatic renewal

• Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or — if you start a free trial — when the trial ends.
• A subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the App or deleting your account does not cancel it.
• If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.

Free trials

• A free trial is offered only where the App shows one, once per Google account, at Google Play’s discretion. If you are not eligible, the subscription price is charged immediately and the payment sheet shows this before you confirm.
• You will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Otherwise the trial converts into a paid subscription.

Price changes

If we change the price of a subscription, Google Play will notify you in advance in accordance with its rules, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and Google Play’s refund policies.

09Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services, such as Google Sign-In, Google Play, Firebase, Amazon Web Services and the AI services that analyze photos (Google Gemini and xAI). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services, although we will try to keep the App working when they occur.

10Our intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, text, graphics and scoring logic, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Android devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Google Play’s terms.

11Disclaimers

We work hard to make the App reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. Score estimates are produced by AI from photos and may be wrong; see Estimates, not official scores. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the App or its estimates will be accurate, error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for any particular purpose, including decisions about whether to harvest a deer or how to value one.

12Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or content, arising from your use of the App or from reliance on its estimates. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in Google Play). We may suspend or close your account, or remove your content, if you seriously or repeatedly violate these Terms or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country or state of residence, and you may bring claims in the courts available to you under those laws.

15Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the date at the top. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
